Biography

It's never too late to be what you might have been. —George Eliot

A few years ago, I taught myself to juggle. Really, juggle. Three balls, in the air, same time. Impossible...yet I did it. Learning to do something I knew I could never do was exhilarating and liberating, to say the least. Even more liberating was understanding the brain science behind my new dexterity.

I've been trained in two different coaching disciplines—one of them brain-based—and have a global coaching practice. My coaching and mentoring style is inspired by an enduring curiosity about how our brains work and is supported by emerging wisdom from neuroscience. I use a brain-friendly process and structure to help clients get clarity and traction on their goals and intentions, and help them develop lasting neuroscience-based skills. I can help you rewire your brain to master whatever is new and/or challenging in your work and life. I will honor your commitment to yourself and hold you and all that you aspire to in the highest regard.

I'm also a certified mentor coach and work with new coaches to prepare them to apply for a credential with the International Coach Federation.

I now facilitate brain-based leadership and brain-based coach training for the NeuroLeadership Institute, a global leader in developing new coaches, leaders and corporate coaching cultures. I teach "Getting Your Brain On Your Side" as a community education course for Nicolet College, and speak often on various aspects of this subject. I also host a weekly classical music show on WXPR Public Radio (you can stream it—Thursdays, 9a to 1p central, wxpr.org).
